ANOTHER TRIP TO JACKSON

I HAD TO MAKE ANOTHER TRIP TO JACKSON FOR MY UNCLES FUNERAL. I WENT ALONE AND MY BROTHER SCOTT ALSO WENT, WE MET IN IDAHO FALLS AND PLAYED TAG ALL THE WAY THERE. THE FUNERAL WAS VERY NICE FOR MY UNCLE DON AND THE GRAVESIDE SERVICE WAS AS WELL. IT WAS VERY HARD TO BE THERE FOR THAT REASON CONSIDERING THAT MY DAD IS BURIED RIGHT NEXT TO MY UNCLE. WE WERE ABLE TO SEE SOME FAMILY AND ENJOY SOME TIME SUPPORTING THEM.
SCOTT AND I DID SOME BLOWING UP OF SOME OLD STUMPS IN THE WOODS WHICH IS ALWAYS FUN AND A GOOD STRESS RELIEVER. I REALLY LOVE OUR BARN. IT'S JUST WHAT I ALWAYS REMEMBER AND IT HAS SO MANY GREAT AND CHERISHED MEMORIES THAT ARE ATTACHED TO IT. IT REALLY IS BEAUTIFUL.
THIS IS OUR BRAND FOR THE RANCH, SPEAR C. IT IS BURNED INTO THE WALL DOWN IN THE SHOP.
ANOTHER SIDE OF THE BARN. THERE ARE MANY CRITTERS THAT LIVE IN THERE NOW SINCE THERE IS ZERO TRAFFIC THROUGH IT, VERY CREEPY.
WE FINALLY GAVE TRAVIS AND I'S WEDDING CAKE UP AND THREW IT AWAY. MY MOM HAD KEPT THE TOP OF IT ALL THESE YEARS. THE FROSTING WAS STILL GREAT BUT IT WAS JUST A LITTLE SCARY TO TRY TO TASTE IT, IT'S 22 YEARS OLD!

IT WAS A GOOD FEW DAYS IN JACKSON WITH MY MOM AND BROTHER. THEN I HEADED OVER TO REXBURG TO HELP SUMMER AND MARK MOVE OUT OF THEIR TRAILER FOR THE AFTERNOON. THEN ON TO MY AUNT KAREN AND UNCLE JERRY'S FOR THE NIGHT. THEY SPOILED ME WITH A GREAT DINNER AND THEN SCOTT CAME BY ON HIS WAY HOME IN THE MORNING AND WE HAD ANOTHER WONDERFUL MEAL TOGETHER AND THEN HE LEFT FOR BOISE. AUNT KAREN HAD HER EYE SURGERY DONE A FEW WEEKS AGO AND ASKED ME TO HELP HER WITH HE MAKEUP. THEN WE HEADED FOR THE RIVER FOR A NICE SUNDAY WALK. THEY ARE ALWAYS SO FUN TO SPEND TIME WITH AND I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL I CAN GO BACK.

PUPPIES

I INTRODUCED THE DOGS TO THE DECOYS THAT HAVE BEEN IN THE YARD FOR 2 YEARS AND LINCOLN WAS QUITE ATTACHED. HE EVEN HAD A NAP WITH HIS NEW FRIEND AND WASN'T ABOUT TO SHARE WITH THE PUPPY. HE BUSTED ME TAKING A PICTURE OF HIM WHILE HE WAS NAPPING IN THE SHADE. NOTICE THE HEAD IS HALF GONE ALREADY!
GETTING BIG, 35 LBS BUT HE'S A BEAUTY.
POSING FOR ME BY THE GNOME THAT HE TOOK OFF WITH ONE DAY.

WEEKEND GET-AWAY

THE MARTINS AND TRAVIS AND I HEADED OUT FOR THE WEEKEND TO JACKSON. OUR FIRST STOP WAS TO SEE THE MORTENSEN'S IN REXBURG!
IT WAS TEGANS BIRTHDAY SO WE MADE SURE TO SEE HIM AND BRING HIM SOME LOVES. THEY WERE AT FAT CATS SO WE GOT TO BE SILLY AND PLAY SOME GAMES WITH HIM AND WIN MANY MANY TICKETS SO HE COULD PICK OUT SOME AWESOME PRIZES.
BRIDGER WAS A CRAZY GAMER AND WENT IN FOR THE EASY SHOTS!
WE HOPED THAT TEGAN WOULD HAVE PICKED THIS OUT BUT NO GO!
THE NEXT DAY WE WENT TO "TOWN" AND PLAYED TOURIST. IT SURE WAS FUN!
MODELED RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE FUR COATS AND PRETENDED WE COULD AFFORD THEM. THEY WERE ALL BEAUTIFUL!
THIS IS THE OLD JACKSON DRUG STORE WHERE WE WOULD GO EVERYDAY AFTER SCHOOL IN JUNIOR HIGH AND HANG OUT AND ORDER A TURKEY SANDWICH AND CHARGE IT TO OUR PARENTS. YES CHARGE, BACK IN THE DAY WHEN EVERYONE KNEW EVERYONE. I ALSO WORKED HERE AS DID A MILLION OTHER KIDS IN JACKSON. IT ISN'T ANYTHING LIKE IT USED TO BE BUT AT LEAST THEY HAVEN'T RUINED THE OLD FOUNTAIN COUNTER.
THE GOOD OLD DAYS...WHEN YOU WERE A KID AND HAD NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. IT WAS A GREAT WEEKEND WITH GREAT FRIENDS.
