THE FEAST

I STAYED UP THE NIGHT BEFORE PREPARING A BUNCH OF FOOD INCLUDING MAKING THE PIES. MY FRIEND IVETTE HAD TAUGHT ME HOW TO MAKE PIES SO I WAS EXCITED TO TRY IT OUT ON MY OWN. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN ACTUALLY NOW THAT I KNEW HOW I WENT ALL OUT. THIS IS MY APPLE PIE, ISN'T IT GORGEOUS? I WAS JUST SO PROUD OF MYSELF.
WE HAD A SLIGHT DRAIN ISSUE IN THE MIDDLE OF MAKING DINNER BUT TRAVIS WAS THERE TO RESUE THE SITUATION.
I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO TRY A DEEP FRIED TURKEY FOR YEARS SO THIS YEAR I WENT FOR IT. FOUND A DEEP FRIER AT COSTCO AND READ UP ON THE DO'S AND DON'TS AND ASK FRIENDS FOR TIPS. DANG, IF THAT WASN'T THE BEST IDEA I HAVE HAD IN YEARS. IT REALLY IS AS GOOD AS EVERYONE SAYD IT IS! IT WAS A HUGE HIT EVEN WITH THE ONES WHO DID NOT REALLY LIKE TURKEY!

NICK AND HEATHER WERE WITH HER FAMILY SO IT WAS JUST THE 6 OF US. WE WENT ALL OUT AND BROKE OUT THE CHINA AND MADE IT BEAUTIFUL. IT WAS FUN TO USE ALL THE FANCY STUFF AND I THINK EVERYONE ENJOYED THE EFFORT THAT WENT INTO MAKING IT LOOK BEAUTIFUL TOO.
THE FEAST, READY TO DIG IN. I ALWAYS MAKE WAY TOO MUCH BUT I REALLY HAD FUN THIS YEAR MAKING EVERYTHING. IT MUST HAVE BEEN THE ANTICIPATION OF THE TURKEY. IT REALLY ONLY TOOK 80 MINUTES TO COOK A 20 LB TURKEY.

SOMETIMES I DON'T ENJOY THANKSGIVING BECAUSE I END UP MAKING EVERYTHING ALL BY MYSELF BUT THIS YEAR IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. WE ALL ENJOYED THE FOOD AND THE NICE QUIET DAY!
