Engineer Appreciation Week

I was helping my neighbor make a "Teacher Appreciation" sign with my cricket and Travis came across the hall to see what we were up to. He kinda threw a "That's stupid. There isn't an Enginner Appreciation anything. How come...... !" So the next week I deemed it "Engineer Appraciation Week" and had all of the kids write him a note and gave him a small gift everyday. I think it made him feel good and it never is a bad thing to over focus on the possitve things in our lives.
I know this makes no sense to anyone except him but he is working hard on something.
"What on earth are you doing now???"
Don't ask what this does. It's something that is very important to large companies but not to households.
It was a fun week. He also had a few extras like an office cleaning, a car cleaning, and scalp massages. The cleaning lady also took him to lunch one day, that's me. :) It was fun to spoil him since he works so hard for our family. I also reminded him how appreciative I am for the PRIVILEGE of being a stay at home mom all these years. He's the best and just wanted to remind him!!!!

P.S.- I thought I was being all clever but there actually is an Enginner Week and it was about 3 weeks before we celebrated.

Happy Birthday Travis! Feb 19, Ya I'm Behind!

Travis wasn't having the best day at work but we all made him come out of his office so we could give him a few gifts.
I surprised him with a Glock 45 and a class to get his Concealed Weapons permit. He was pleasantly surprised! I always have to make sure he has a box of his FAVORITE chocolates too! Rob and Alison were generous enough to give us their tickets to the Elton John/Billy Joel concert. We had seen Elton before but we both loved this show! Billy Joel was a great accent to Elton. Travis absolutely LOVED it! Thank you so much again Rob and Alison!
We had to take the Glock out the next day and try it out but this is as close to the guns as Sabrina got. She stayed in the back of the car and shot the Airsoft gun. She was mostly just there to help with the puppies but she was too funny shooting out of the back of the car at a target she and Isaac had made a few days before.
McKayla wanted to shoot the Glock too.
It started to snow while we were there so it made it that much more fun! I got a video of Isaac shooting it and it's the funniest ever. The look on his face is one of major surprise and then he's like "Here. Take this gun. I'm deaf now! Holy cow that is SO loud!" It is a huge and powerful gun and super fun to shoot!
Then on Sunday we had friends over to celebrate some more! This seems to be the only picture I snapped but there was a whole houseful of people there! Against Travis' wishes of course but I love celebrating him! Happy Birthday Trav! We love you so much!

The Works!

I finally found somewhere that will print your blog! It is the best thing ever! Not only is it your journal but a digital scrapbook!
It was totally easy to download and order, about 20 minutes. It's a year and a half worth of blogging plus the comments that people made. I love it. Very professional looking! I'm sure they will get more technical with more options but I'm excited for the next few years to make another Blog Book!
P.S. Yes I forgot to add this very important part, sorry! cutestblogontheblock.com and not as expensive as you would think! Check it out! You can have up to 500 posts so there is plenty of room.

A Fergs Life!

Quality bonding time with Nick on a Sunday evening. I-Pods.
McKayla and Isaac made this for me for Christmas while I was in California. It was my favorite gift this year! It is really so cute, the sideways pic doesn't do it justice!

I asked Isaac to wash all the gunk off the bottom of his garbage can. This is what I found. It cracked me up so much because it wasn't even getting the bottom wet!

FeeBee's modeling pics after a bath.
Dax was more interested in the toy BASKET than the toys. He also had a very nice nap in it in the sun! What a life!
Sabrina made this cute ceramic flower. Doesn't it look cute!
FeeBee stopped being a hater for about 30 seconds to play a little tug of war with Dax. Then she remembered she hated him!
Isaac tied some thread to his Legos and turned on the Treadmill. It was quite a great invention and he spent alot of time messing around with other stuff like a snowboarder guy.
The mind of a creative child! Love it!

Monster Trucks

Isaac and his buddy Logan!

Sabrina and McKayla not a huge fan of my picture taking! Too bad, haha!

C.C. and his friend Savanna!

Let the kayos begin!
Motorcycles too!
Seriously loud!
Oh ya! That's why we came. The finale! Sailing over or more like across the school bus!
The E Center really wasn't big enough for a really awesome show so it was kinda lame but still fun to go to and people watch! Travis was really enjoying himself and helped us all to enjoy it even more!

Crazies!

Sabrina loves brownies and is always wanting to make them. Apparently someone couldn't wait or cut the correct way! No idea whose work this is but we all got a kick out of it.
Isaac begged me for days to have a snowball fight but the snow wasn't very good for that. I finally just went out and did it, of course I creamed him and he was laughing the whole time. We got bored of that and decided the make a "sand castle" but out of the snow. It was a blast and it took almost all of the snow we had to make it. Very cool what a 5 gallon bucket and entertainingone on one with a little boy can do for an afternoon. As soon as we were finished I suggested that he shoot it with the airsoft gun, so that took up even more hours and hours of fun!
This is the result of hours out in the snow and new pants.
McKayla has not worn matching socks since the 2nd grade. I stole this shot, had to make sure it is remembered. Silly girl!

Christmas 2009

Christmas Eve, Sabrina requested the onzies and has loved them ever since.
Dax was a huge fan of the box!
McKayla's favorite gift this year!
Isaac got these for the girls.
FeeBee guarding my things.
All of Isaac's dreams came true. He also asked if Santa was real this year and so after thinking hard about the answer for a 9 year old we thought it would be ok to break the news. His major beef was that we had LIED to him all these years.
The little boys were exhausted after a day of fun in the paper.
C.C. cleaned up too fast for a picture. Overall it was a nice Christmas that we all enjoyed very much together. Even though Sabrina was still feeling badly she was a good sport but then went back to bed soon after the fun ended. We missed Nick and Heather but know that we get to share for holidays. Next year!
